I recently moved out and I had nothing, and being frugal was the key. I tried to find things that looked nice and werent too expensive. I found it with this set. The tables look great and are sturdy. I thought they might be plywood when I ordered them, but they are not... I know because they were heavy as f*. The only problem I have is that I wish they had a little more to them. Maybe bigger end tables or something, but still very nice and worth looking at.

The first coffee table we received had a damaged corner. We sent back that table, only to get the table top without legs in return. Opening that box with the 'new table' in it, we noticed the corner was damaged the same (as you can see from the photos). The wood just flakes off when you touch it. Super cheap.
On a side note, the customer service representatives are VERY wonderful....however, they don't match a poorly crafted table. They overnighted the 2nd return and legs after my complaints.
This table set is black. Some espressos are dark brown, but this is totally black.
The end tables had no chipping issues, but you can tell they are also made of cheap wood.
Do not buy these tables if:
a) you intend to be in your home for more than 10 minutes; or
b) you think chipped wood from black paint is crappy looking
