Contemporary Slated Square Living Room End Table

Love these tables so much in my living room, that I bought the same for Family Room
They take abuse, and look great.

I needed a side table that would be sturdy(withstanding five rambunctious dogs) and reasonably attractive, and, so far, this table mets those requirements. My problem with the table is that the slate tiles that insert into the top are loose and ill-fitting. They are not held in place except by their weight. It makes me nervous in case the table is knocked over somehow (perhaps by the previously mentioned rowdy dogs), although the base frame appears to be quite secure. The big problem is that the slate tiles were cut to be inserted into a metal frame in the top of the table and the slates are not a uniform size. That means that some of the slates are a little on the small side, leaving visible gaps, and in several cases, the tiles were a little large, which means they didn't actually slide into the frames. I had to use a mallet to tap several tiles into the table top and, in one case, use a hammer to bend out the edge of the frame to force the overly large tile to fit. I've been...Read more

We received the table and found that a couple of the tiles were chipped. I emailed the company and received a reply within an hour asking which ones we needed replacements for, showing a list of sizes. I sent in my request and a week later they arrived, extremely well packaged and just the ones we needed. I commend this company for their exceptional customer service and we are very happy with the table, especially since it matches a bistro set we bought just prior. It is very sturdy, won't shake if bumped and another nice aspect of it is you don't have to worry about rings from drinks placed on it, ever.
