The nightstand was described as solid wood. The frame is wood, but the sides were made of only what I could describe as thick cardboard. The paint was inconsistent and the sides, frame and top all had huge scratches on it. The seller did offer to replace the damaged pieces, however, it was such poor quality that I'm too embarrassed to put it in my home. Returning it just was not worth the trouble.
