This table came ready to assemble but is superior in quality to most ready to assemble furniture. It is like a regular table you'd find in a furniture store. It has a lovely quality finish. It was very easy to assemble. One tip when assembling: Tip the table on its side when placing the bottom shelf. Insert one side then the other, then roll the table onto the top before fixing the shelf with the bolts.
