Varnished in a sleek black, this foyer table is inspired by traditional elements of French Country decorating while appearing contemporary and streamlined in design, thus making it a transitional piece of furniture. The faux marble is tasteful and attractive for not being the "real thing" and adds intrigue to the overall look; it was so handsomely done that I was actually apprehensive about covering it up with decor. The lower shelf is perfect for displaying large vases, books, etc as there is a generous amount of space from the table's top, and for added storage there is a handy drawer.
As stated in the item description, assembly is required, but it's simple enough for one person to manage on their own; I put it together myself in less than 15 minutes, and I was taking my time while doing so.
