Initially, I was happy with this table and its bargain price.
Then one quiet evening the table suddenly crashed to the floor, the pedestal/base connector completely broken. No proximate cause identifiable, no rough treatment ever, and just three months of use.
Bought a replacement table that is in the same style (Noguchi knockoff), but which is more sturdily constructed and aesthetically better, too.
The table that crashed has a short lightweight metal (aluminum?) connector with prongs that fit into a shallow, unlined wooden slot. When I examined this slot after the crash, the opening was jaggedly spread beyond the width of the prongs and the wood was cracked. The metal connector was crumpled and bent. The replacement table has a longer, heavier-weight metal (steel?) connector shaped as a smooth rod that fits into a metal lined receptacle extending deeper into the table leg/pedestal. No comparison: The table that crashed just is not built to last...Read more

I love this table. Beautiful design and open feel to it. It is a very good quality reproduction of the original at a fraction of the price and arrived in only a couple of days. Very pleased with this purchase.

Having seen low quality knock-offs of classic furniture designs, I insisted on doing a lot of homework before stepping up to purchase this table. I could not be more happy with it.
Solid wood, no veneer. Smooth finish, rich stain.
0.75" thick glass, squared edges.
Proper dimensions.
This is as solid a reproduction of the classic Noguchi table as you are likely to find, and the build quality is on par with anything sold by Herman Miller. If I see a signature etched into the glass of somebody's table, all I will be able to think now is, "well... you spent about $1000,00 too much for that."
Add to this the fact that shipping was incredibly fast, and the item was packed well. Strike that. The table was packed *really* well. Layers of bubble wrap cocooning an actual wooden crate that housed the glass.
