Magnussen Baker Wood Rectangular Cocktail Table

Pros:
Good looking table. It was one of very few that I could find that was the size and color I was looking for.

Cons:
It is made in China and it shows. There are areas of the wood with gouges/indents in the wood that were just stained over, as well as a couple other possibly puttied spots and a bulge in the veneer. Not hugely noticeable, but had I bought this from a local furniture store I would have absolutely rejected it. Also, the table stinks. I set up the table earlier today and tonight as I write this, my whole house smells like wood stain.

Aside from the flaws in the finish (and assuming the smell goes away), I am generally satisfied with the table. I don't think I'll buy another piece of furniture online unless it's a quality name brand, though.

Pro: For the price, this is nice looking and functional. Fit my living room well. After assembled properly, it certainly looks fine.

Con: Here's the thing, that table almost unusable. A triangular block is broken, the drawer rail's screws are missing hence the rail is loose. Legs number (3) do not fit as well as legs number (2). When I say the triangular block is broken I mean it literally is broken. But due to the nature of the problem and the fact that it's a lot more hassle to ask for a refund or replacement, I managed to hold that block into place to finish the assembly.

Other Thoughts: Like the previous viewer said, there are some little problems, just that in my case, the problem is almost big enough to warrant the thing useless. So I think you should expect a less than perfect merchandise.

We received the table via UPS with no shipping fees. The table was very well packaged. It was not difficult to assemble and the end result was great. It is the perfect size for our room, it looks modern, sleek and attractive. No, it is not 'fine furniture", but ours arrived in excellent condition with no visable marks or flaws in the wood. Love the drawers too! Highly recomment.
