If you look around on the Internet, you will see this same trunk with a large price span. However, there are also NUMEROUS bad reviews regarding the trunks' condition upon arrival....specifically from this vendor. Prior to delivery, I emailed this company's customer service dept and inquired if they felt they has resolved the faulty issues. I received a very "cookie cutter" response that showed little concern, nor did they offer to pass the comment on to someone more familiar with the item or issues. The trunk arrived and although our house has a number of very rustic items, antiques, and southwestern items.....this trunk is just sloppy. It has drops of dried varnish on the top surface, and a certain areas have had wood fill used and wiped off...but making the area around them dull. If you plan on opening the top "doors" onto the supports (as pictured), so that you can serve on them.....forget it. The doors do not open all the way as pictured. I ordered this table - twice. Both times the item arrived damaged. Not slightly - with portions split from end to end. The item is NOT packaged well enough. The company was very good about return shipping and getting me my refunds. One star for that.
Stay away from this item.

I love my trunk, but it's definitely not the greatest quality. It came missing a few screws and the wood is very rough in some places. However, I wanted something rustic looking so it does the trick. :)
