I ordered this twice - and both times the piece was severely damaged. The packaging is insufficient for something shipped all the way from (I assume) China. My first order had some parts of the lid broken off. The second had the lid completely broken in half lengthwise. In neither case was there significant damage to the box it was shipped in.

I did receive a prompt refund in both cases.

The first trunk arrived damaged and had to be returned but the second one was fine. The company was very good about replacing it although I wish they had packed it more carefully in the first place. There is quite a lot of texture in the wood - a kind of diamond pattern that looks rustic but our living room has slate and a rustic feel so it looks great. We're using it as a coffee table and the size and height are perfect. We're pleased with the overall look and would definitely purchase again.

Beautiful item really pleased looks great in my living room with candles on it, and it arrived in perfect condition. A well made and really good value a bargain.
