It was very easy to assemble the frame- which is 2 side pieces one shelf and 2 decorative upper frame rails. Push in a few pegs and screw in a few cam bolts. I had wood glue in the peg holes. I tightened the frame together with the cams..(which come pre-installed)..pretty easy. After that came the table top, which also has peg holes, but then requires 6 screws to tighten it down to the frame rails.. (best done upside down on the floor)...only a slight problem with the screws which is easily rectified. They were allen-heads(hex) instead of philips (star) --which made it hard to make tight with the allen wrench provided. To make the table top as tight as possible, you need to turn those screws extra.. you'll need a pair of pliers or channel locks to grab the allen wrench and then crank the top down- no gaps between the boards. This review is from: Mission Natural Coffee Table (Kitchen) I'm sure that once I get my replacement screw and get the table together, that it will be a good, cheap replacement for my other coffee table. For now, I can say that the wood is a nice color, and that when I tightened one of the camlock screws, the top broke right off of it. This is one of three pieces of furniture I purchased from this manufacturer, and have had similar problems with both other pieces. It's cheap, and will serve it's purpose, but it's not great, and I would not buy any more. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Mission Natural Coffee Table (Kitchen) This is the best little coffee table weve had yet. It is perfect for our small space but it doesn't lack the strength you need. It is sturdy, has a nice finish to it and easy to put together. The only con to all the pros is that the small round end pieces that you push in to cover up the screws needs more than just pushing in. Well, let me rephrase that...SOME of them refuse to stay in and fall right back out as you walk away while others fit tighter and stay in. It is easily taken care of with some wood glue.Hope this review helps you in making your purchasing decision. I know others helped us in our decision. |
