Package came a little beat up, but the furniture pieces were well protected inside. There were no scratches at all, but there was a crack in one of the bottom shelves for the side tables. Nothing major or visible, but it's why I didn't leave a 5 star review. The furniture is all wood, no MDF. It is extremely easy to assemble; there is only one size of screw and includes the necessary allen wrench. We had this out of the box and completely assembled in about 30 minutes. Sturdy and attractive. Definitely a great deal.

These were purchased to upgrade from an Ikea set, and boy the difference in quality is astounding.
The wood is heavy, and looks great in our room. I have received many compliments.
For the price you just can't beat the quality.
Only downside...The box it comes in is very heavy! However I was able to order this on a wed. afternoon and it was set up in my living room by Thursday evening due to the $3.99 overnight shipping through Amazon Prime.

I purchased this because it was exactly what I was looking for (dark wood set in this style/size) and based on the reviews, you are getting great quality wood for the price, which is accurate. It is also true that the packaging ends up being a bit torn up through shipping, but the items were in tact with the exception of a barely noticeable nicked corner on the coffee table. Overall, I recommend this set, as the wood quality is terrific and beautifully finished. The set exceeded my expectations, especially in this price range.
