Firstly, it is not solid oak as the title suggests. I may have missed it somewhere in the description but this not the cheap "paste and sawdust" wood either. It's heavy (about 100lbs.) and the pieces are rock solid.
I order online a lot, and I've never seen a sturdier packaging. It took me ten minutes just to get inside and that was only after abandoning neatness and slicing along the seams of the box. I cannot stress this enough... THIS IS A TWO MAN ASSEMBLY! I am very handy, and there isn't much more than a phillips head and a pre packaged wrench, but the sheer weight of the pieces make putting this together alone extremely difficult.
The assembly instructions leave much to be desired, be warned. And don't tighten the bolts until everything is together or the legs wont align with the the top half of the table.
