Summary: Happy Newley weds. 2010-08-18
Comment: I purchased these accent tables for my son and new daughter-in-law. They live across the country so I have never actually seen the tables myself. They are happy witht them, so I will give a good review. They shipped fast and arrived on-time and in good shape. These tables may not be top of the line, solid wood furniture, but my kids like them and they serve a purpose. They are satisfied with them, so I am satisfied with my purchase.

Comment: This is an attractive piece of furniture in the picture, but mine came badly scratched. Good thing I had a furniture touch-up pen! It is very poorly made and flimsy, which made putting it together extra fun. I should have measured better before getting it because I thought it was going to be bigger than it was. It already feels like it's falling apart and I do not expect to have it for long. I got it mainly because of the price and because it looked good. In person it looks decent (buy a touch-up pen!), but the drawers are rickety. I guess it could be described as "you get what you pay for." I should have spent more and gotten a better piece of furniture.

Comment: Really strong finish smell! Air it outside for a couple of days after assembly before you put in your house.
Assembly was easy, BUT pieces don't fit together completely. There are gaps. The paneling on the bottom and sides is really thin. For $80 I expected better quality. Also the drawer does not have any guides that stop it from pulling out completely. Because of the thin wood, the stand is not very heavy, so it slides on my hardwood floor whenever I try to open the door. (I finally put rubber on the feet to help stop that problem.)
If I had paid $50, the price would have fit better with the quality.

Summary: Not that great 2008-12-04
Comment: The finish is bad and very rustic. When assembling, the pieces don't fit together right, as if they were badly cut when measured. The "wood" pieces are limited to the top, front of drawer and frame; the rest is pure MDF or cardboard.
The paint job is bad (streaky in some areas) and it seems as if it was built out of scrap wood. For a few more dollars, try to treat yourself to a nicer table, I would suggest the Avignon from Target at $99.

Comment: I received a broken piece in one of the two night stands I ordered and had been waiting for the broken piece to arrive from the manufacturer. As stated by others, this is difficult to put together, scratched VERY easily and had chipping, cracks and 'weathered' pieces. The back, side and front piece colors were all a little off from each other, but nothing noticeable unless aware of it. It seems to be pretty solid once put together, the drawer is nice and deep and sturdy, as is the bottom cabinet.
Just don't expect this to be anything more than a $60 night stand. If you want a GREAT night stand, don't buy one you put together yourself.
