Assembly was easy, but had to be redone when I discovered that without gluing the support rods in place (no mention in the brief instructions and no included glue), it simply falls over from instability. The legs are not quite flat and require a little adjustmant to make the stand stable on a flat wood floor. For the price, it is an OK piece for a mudroom or a hallway. It does become unbalanced and fall over when heavy winter coats are not placed in an almost exactly symmetric pattern around the pole.

I purchased this coat rack based on its color, price and perceived durability and I feel content with the acquisition overall. It is a very dark piece of furniture and seemed fairly true to the picture's representation. I was able to assemble it in under 30 minutes and had I read the directions it may have taken even less of my time. It easily handles the weight of my coats and sweatshirts without concern of tipping over. The base seems well designed and sits firmly on the floor. I spent a little more than I wanted to but feel that it wasn't outrageously overpriced. With inflation looming, 80 bucks for a coat rack that doesn't tip over may soon look like a steal to we the bargain hunting consumer. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a coat rack under $100 dollars.

I just ordered this product yesterday and it was delivered today. Wow, that was quick. However, when I was assembling it one of the four screws did not fit at the bottom, so I had to finish without it. Also, four rods should have been identical but there were not. And that made whole thing tilted and unbalanced after assembleing was done. The color and the shape were OK but overall it's not functional. I would not have bought it had I known this. Not very satified.
