Winsome Wood Hall Table with 4 Drawers, Black

I ordered this to use as a side table in my foyer. I was a little worried about the condition the table would be in after shipping (based on the other review) but decided to take a chance because the price is so low. When the table arrived I carefully inspected all of the parts before putting the it together. There is only one small scratch on the surface which was easily covered up with a black sharpie pen. The rest of the table was in flawless condition. It was very easy to set up and now looks great in my house.

One thing... the table legs do not have "feet" so the very bottom of the leg is a slightly rough wood surface. Because of this you may want to buy adhesive felt pads to avoid scratching your floor. I was able to find black felt pads at the hardware store. For carpeting you will probably want to get adhesive sliders - same as you would for any furniture that you want to avoid digging into your carpet/flooring.

Extremely impressed and happy with table. Very sturdy and solid construction. Beautiful appearance--no damage, scratches, marks, or other blemishes. Very easy to assemble--attach legs to body and secure handles to drawers. Overall, great and hassle-free purchase!

This item was a huge disappointment, and I've never been anything but immensely pleased with my Amazon purchases. The table was obviously battered before it even entered the shipping box, as it arrived not only dented, but gouged and scratched. I've done what I can with a black Sharpie to color in the paint that was either scraped off, or was never painted on properly in the first place. I specifically chose this table instead of an extremely cheap one so that I'd have something that didn't look second-hand and shabby. I failed. The only reason I'm not giving it only 1 star is because the size and design themselves are lovely, so if you can get past how battered this will look when it arrives, it is a somewhat acceptable purchase. I just wish I'd known what to expect.
